John Jensen is a family man living in Annapolis, Maryland.  The Homewood Pottery shop where he does his work is next to his house and has grown quite a bit from when it was just a falling down garage.  John still makes some toadhouses, but these days he is more interested in one of a kind pottery and sculpture. John is also privileged to be in charge of the pottery studio at  St. John's College, where he teaches both St. John's students and students from the Annapolis community.

John shares his studio with Jonnie Friedman.  Jonnie is from central Kansas where she attended Kansas State University, graduating with an education degree and a focus on ceramic arts. After graduating she  married a military man and spent twenty years raising a son and a daughter, teaching art or pre-school and traveling in Europe and the United States.  In 1997 she resumed her study of pottery and now teaches art at the Chesapeake Academy in Arnold, Maryland.  She does her creative pottery at Homewood Pottery.
