Jayne Shatz Pottery
Jayne Shatz, artist, educator, and ceramic historian, has a PhD in Prehistoric Ceramics, an MA in Pottery and Sculpture and a BA in Art History. A career spanning thirty-five years, she has directed college programs in Albany and Troy, NY; founded two potters’s cooperatives in New York and founded The Albany Ceramic Institute. She has exhibited her wall sculpture, vessels, and pottery throughout New York State, New York City, Connecticut, New Jersey, California and Maryland. Jayne has published several articles in Ceramics Monthly magazine.
